MULTI-CULTI TURTLE
Created by Riverwood High School Students

Multi-Culti Turtle is a celebration of diversity in our community.  Under the direction of Karin Mervis, 40 students at Riverwood High School from Mary Anne Smith and Mary Schmidt's TAG classes, Diversity Club, and ESOL classes working together created a patchwork of 13 textile designs to demonstrate the richness of culture from the 50 countries represented at Riverwood.  The project was a living example of the beauty that can be created when practicing the principles of unity through diversity and harmony through friendship.
